Verify
Proof that accounts elsewhere are really me. My identity on the open
social web is this DID: did:plc:45uheisi25szrjvjurfpritx.
Everything else hangs off that.
gui.do
gui.do resolves to that DID two ways: a DNS TXT record at
_atproto.gui.do, and a file at
gui.do/.well-known/atproto-did. Both contain the same
DID. You don't have to take my word for it: the dig and curl commands
below do the lookup on your own machine.
$ dig +short TXT _atproto.gui.do
"did=did:plc:45uheisi25szrjvjurfpritx"
$ curl https://gui.do/.well-known/atproto-did
did:plc:45uheisi25szrjvjurfpritx Other accounts
For the rest I use Keytrace (keytrace.dev). I post a proof on the service in question (a gist, a post, a DNS record), Keytrace checks it and signs the claim, and the claim record lives in my own PDS, my own data store. This page lists only claims that currently verify, and the list is rebuilt from my PDS on every build. If a check starts failing, the account drops off.
Not on this page? Then it isn't me.
